I hope that you’re all paddling through this long month—and having a jolly good time while you’re all at it too! I don’t know if I’m the only one feeling this, but this year has been moving in the speed of light! Literally. Too. Fast. But it’s ok, we’re all pulling through, right?! So, if any of you follow my social media, you’ll know that I’ve finally just come back from a whirlwind of trips from my SOUTHEAST ASIA WORLD TOUR. Haha. I’m joking, but I know you’re laughing! (A post about my recent trip to Vietnam is coming soon, so look out for that!)

But anyway, it’s been a hell of a few weeks for me, and the fact that 2/3 of the places I’ve visited has been mostly ‘tropical’ and ‘island’-oriented, I think it’s fair to say that I should be stocking up on A LOT of beachwear! And trust me, although I’m nowhere close to being summer body-ready (LOL, how many of you can relate?!), but nevertheless, it’s still one of my favorite times of the year!

Having grown up in Indonesia, I think it’s fair to say that although we’re all modern #girlbosses … wearing clothes that are too provocative or showing too much skin is still frowned upon. And if it’s not frowned upon by your friends or family, there’s always some person out there running their mouth. And that sucks, I know. So, that’s why we girls should always be creative! Am I right? Yes, I am.

So, this, is where we got our inspiration from.

Aside from the fact that some ‘modesty’ is mandatory, I was also keen on creating something that’s flattering for any girl, any shape or size too! Which I know can be a little tricky, especially in Asia. So, that’s how NAVVA Beachwear, my baby, was born. My friend and I had started this little project from early this year, and as we went on with it, it slowly and steadily started to become better and a lot more interesting!

But truly, the gem of our entire beachwear line, is our Multi-Way Wrap.  It’s one wrap, but you can wear it in 14 DIFFERENT styles! Imagine that! Stylish, unique, AND cost-efficient! Lol.

We’re featuring 10 different colors, with three (and hopefully more in the future) colors of rings! Truly, I think these wraps are going to change the way we girls feel and look by the pool/beach. I know I do, and I can’t wait to share it with all of y’all!

Of course, proudly born and bred in Indonesia, this brand is also going to be featuring other beachwear accessories that are strictly manufactured or made by hand domestically. I mean, our country is so full of talented artists and unmatched raw materials—why would we ever look elsewhere?!

Our bags, which comes in 5 different styles are all customizable. Yes, that is what makes us special and different from any other beach bag store!

Other than rattan bags, we’re also featuring a selection of sunglasses. Now these sunglasses are ready made, and are super seasonal. Which means, we’re not repeating collections, so whenever a collection is sold out, expect new stuff! And also, we all know that sunnies are definitely NOT only a beach thing, they’re practically useful all year round! (even if its gloomy and dusty, lol.) Conclusion: if you see something you like, get them quick, quick, quick! You don’t want to lose your chance! Hehe.

Now let’s be honest, starting NAVVA wasn’t a walk in the park, and I wouldn’t say that it came without any sacrifices and (mostly) sweat, I’m so proud to say that we’ve come a long way and we’re ecstatic about the product that we’ve made! It’s taken a long time, and it’s been a hard time too—but I really believe that our commitment and attention to detail is going to pay off when we see all you beautiful #girlbosses striking poses and looking gorgeous in our collections!

After all, we all have got to start somewhere, right?! No matter how big, or how small. Taking that first step outside of your comfort zone and towards growing up will never be easy, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not able!
